We have an undying love for sharing new original music in traditional string-band formation, serving it hot off the griddle across the West Coast. From the foggy nooks, golden hills, and giant skies of Central California, NPSB brings you original compositions and timeless tales through music.
Informed by a wide-range of influences, our music is an ongoing narrative of the places we go, the people we meet, and the history that came before us. It is a musical journey into the expansive and undying potential of acoustic music and old-time storytelling. With a nod to the legacy of traditional music and a tip of the hat to those that came before, our vision is to keep the fire high for original acoustic music on the West Coast.
Whether it's recording an album in a historic Grange Hall (sweet wood tones...), playing spontaneous roadside concerts at scenic overlooks in Big Sur (hope to see you there), or coming through your local venue, we love bringing our music to you in person and sharing it online!

North Pacific String Band- Big South SkiesHey everyone! We are so stoked to have this new video out for you. It is a combination of footage from several locations. One location is the Corralitos Grange Hall where we recorded and released our album Steak and Eggs. Another location is on a scenic overlook in Manzanita, OR where we stopped to play some tunes while touring in Summer 2012. The interviews were shot in Santa Cruz in the Jackson House living room where we practice and write much of our music. This is the best video we have made to date. We are looking forward to more!
